Account Manager, Ticket Sales & Service

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Manager, Ticket Sales & Service is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue and season seat retention. The role is primarily focused on selling new season seat packages, premium seating packages, group ticket packages and flex pack tickets through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. Season seat retention will also be an area of focus for this role. The primary focus is increasing revenue for the group sales and premium seating teams, while leveraging new and unique ideas that will create memorable experiences for fans. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of outbound sales experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Prospect, engage and close group and premium seating sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • This individual will be an important ambassador for the Club’s Business Development agenda. Candidate must be seen as a problem-solver who is consistently focused on possibilities vs. limitations, employing a positive, collaborative team approach to all internal and external relations
  • Assist Group Sales and New Business Account Executives, ensuring revenue targets are being achieved
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions

Account Executive, Ticket Sales is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue and season seat retention, with additional sales responsibilities to follow, including but not limited to group sales and flex pack sales. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Outside Sales:

  • Lead generation for New sales team
    • Looking for expressions of interest in 2018 information
    • Booking face to face / open house appointments for New sales team scheduled times at stadium
    • Event RSVPs / Invitations SME community

Retention/Inside Sales:

  • Manage assigned accounts and develop strong professional relationships with Ticats season seat holders

INTERN, VIDEO PRODUCTION

Location: 1 Jarvis Street and Tim Hortons Field – Hamilton, Ontario

Internship Duration: 7 months: May 1st – November 30th OR 4-month term followed by another 4-month term.

Hourly Commitment: Regular business hours + all 2018 Tiger-Cats home games and special events at Tim Hortons Field.

Stipend: $300 per month + payment for each Tiger-Cats home game worked.

Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Internship Program is to educate participants in all areas of operation of a professional sports organization, and to prepare them for entering today’s competitive career marketplace. Through observation and hands-on experience, participants learn how to function in a high-energy professional environment, perform under pressure, show initiative in developing and executing new programs, and utilize essential time management skills. All participants will receive proper guidance, structure, and coaching to ensure their time in the Program enhances their education and career development.

Requirements:

Applicants for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Internship Program must be enrolled in a degree/diploma program. Ideal candidates must be hard working, dedicated, self-motivated individuals who possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, and a passion for sports. Computer skills are also an asset.

  • Add graphical elements and animation and render out final formats
  • Assemble, prepare, and setting up equipment prior to filming, including tripods, monitors, lighting and cables.
  • Ability to find solutions to technical and/or other practical problems that may occur
  • Post, update, and coordinate content on ticats.ca and other social media outlets
  • Identify potential news story ideas relevant to the Tiger-Cats football club and its programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in content effort surrounding Tiger-Cats strategies/events
  • Assist in posting content to and maintenance of Tiger-Cats social media platforms.
  • Assist in creation of social media content, including video, photos, and blog posts
  • Collaborate on social media projects and contesting to promote engagement and expand fan base.

  • Football IQ (Ideally some CFL Knowledge)

Secret Shopper

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our Secret Shopper Team, your main duty will be to effectively and discretely critique various components of our in-stadium experience. Staff members, quality of service, venue cleanliness, and other important areas will be reported on using an event-day package. Shoppers will be given specific instruction outlining where to go, who to speak with, and what to look for at certain times throughout an event.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

 

  • Follow all steps and procedures as outlined on the Secret Shopper event-day outline
  • Effectively and discretely execute various tasks; do not allow others to realize what your role consists of

Brand Ambassador

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a valuable member of the Brand Ambassador Team, you will be a part of a group of employees that specializes in fan interaction. As a Brand Ambassador, you will undertake various tasks that greatly improve overall Guest Experience within our venue. This position will combine quality customer service and fan engagement, creating a more exciting atmosphere. Everything from executing accessible escorts, delivering special in-seat visits, resolving fan conflicts, and capturing photo opportunities will be included.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Enthusiastically execute special occasion in-seat visits (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
  • Creation of personalized cards and gift bags included
  • Provide accessible escorts for fans in various areas of the stadium
  • Like special occasion visits, majority of these will be booked before game-day
  • Create and capture photo opportunities for fans
  • Usage of Instagram & Twitter cut-outs

Elevator Attendant

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a valuable member of the Customer Assistance Team, you will ensure safe and efficient travel of guests while using 1 of 5 available elevators. While this position is tucked away and not ‘front-line’ service, employees will be asked to communicate with fans as they utilize this service, answer all questions/inquiries pertaining to the event, stadium rules and policies, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient transportation of guests while using the elevator
  • Do not allow fans off on specific, prohibited floors (e.g. Level 2 on West side)
  • Keep elevator space clean and safe; do not exceed designated capacity
  • Ensure no horseplay occurs within elevator

Ticket Taker (Gate Staff)

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a valuable member of the Customer Assistance Team, you will ensure fans enter our venue safely, quickly, and efficiently. There are 5 regular access locations (Gates 1-5), and 4 other accessible locations as well (Gates 1A-4A). Proper handling and usage of the provided ticket scanner is essential to overall success, as every fan must have their ticket checked before entering Tim Hortons Field. Gate Staff Members are also expected to communicate important event-related information to those in need, and ensure fans are well-educated before taking their seats.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Ensure no prohibited or restricted items enter the venue
  • This is Security’s job, however, if they miss something, please inform them immediately
  • Do not allow access to those with fake/invalid tickets; if scanner issues occur, please send fans to our ticket office location for further assistance
  • Ensure no smoking occurs once guests have entered the Gated area
  • Answer all questions and inquiries before guests take their seats; if needed, assist with seat location as well

These members are important resources for both part-time colleagues and full-time supervisors.

Section Ambassador (Usher)

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a valuable member of the Customer Assistance Team, you will supervise designated seating sections, and ensure they are both organized and controlled. Section Ambassadors will also be called upon to answer guest questions and inquiries, provide directional assistance to seats, and establish/reinforce stadium rules with those in their section. This group of staff members will work closely with Security as well, communicating with each sectional guard to ensure safety is at a premium, and policies are followed.

  • Supervise designated section and ensure stadium rules/policies are followed and respected

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Operations Team. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing world-class game day experience throughout the 2018 season at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set-up and tear down of all game day marketing and corporate activations
  • Set-up all premium and non-premium ticketing areas, including but not limited to the Club, Seagram’s lounge, Field side, Suite Level, and Coors Light Patio
  • Set-up of any event spaces utilized during games or on off days
  • Assistant all other departments to ensure that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats game day experience is a success
  • Set-up all parking infrastructure and signage
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment

Operations Team Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to work 90% of Tiger-Cats events (includes playoff games, concerts)
  • Must comply with all Tiger-Cats personal hygiene and grooming guideline

MASCOT PERFORMER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform as a Tiger-Cats mascot for all home games, as well as select community appearances and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embody the spirit and character of the specific mascot personality you are asked to perform as
  • Interact with fans throughout games and events
  • Represent the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club in a professional manner at all times
  • Create a fun and energetic environment on game days to enhance the in-game experience for fans
  • Ensure mascot costume is well taken care of
  • Communicate with supervisor any repairs/maintenance that the costume may need

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience with dance, gymnastics, mime, mascot and/or clowning preferred
  • A charismatic, cheerful, and energetic personality
  • Must be motivated and excited about interacting with fans of all ages
  • Able to work well with all employees in a team environment
  • Ability to handle demands of working in a mascot costume (in all weather conditions)
  • Able to work with limited peripheral vision
  • Access to a vehicle/other form(s) of transportation at all times
  • Able to lift up to 50Ibs
  • Passion for football, the CFL, the Tiger-Cats, and the Hamilton community
  • Must be available for 100% of Tiger-Cats home games in 2018, including pre-season and playoff contests

MASCOT HANDLER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the ‘eyes and ears’ for mascot performers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each mascot performer (they are performing with limited vision and hearing)
  • Ensure the mascot performer is hydrated, and receives an appropriate amount of breaks
  • Ensure the mascot has a safe path of travel
  • Facilitate crowd control between fans and mascot
  • Interact with fans throughout games and events
  • Take photos with fans QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • A charismatic, cheerful, and energetic personality
  • Must be motivated and excited about interacting with fans of all ages
  • Able to work well with all employees in a team environment
  • Passion for football, the CFL, the Tiger-Cats, and the Hamilton community
  • Must be available for 100% of Tiger-Cats home games in 2018, including pre-season and playoff contests
